The band travelled to Newtownards for the NVF’s annual parade with around 20 bands in attendance on a good nice for parading with very favourable weather conditions.
It was a typical end of season parade with less crowds than usual but at least anyone who attended or either being in a band or just a spectator where entertained by all the good show of bands tonight.
Bands like the Pride of the Raven, Newtownards Melody, Newtownards Protestant Boys, William Strain & Lightbody Memorial, Pride of the Hill where all going well tonight, with a lot of bands heading off to other parade its was hard to judge overall but it was a good wee route around Newtownards tonight.
We walked with 16 side drummers, 29 fluters, 2 bass drummers, colour party of 9, 2 cymbal boys and a drum major which was a good solid turnout for one of our last parades of the season.
Below are a selection of photographs of the band in action.
The band where presented with the following awards during lthe parade competition results:
1st Blood and Thunder Band
1st Blood and Thunder Bass Drum
1st Blood and Thunder Drum Corps
