This was the bands first outing after the 12th July weekend and we headed to Cookstown in support of the host band Derryloran Boyne Defenders.
I only managed to see a few bands one where Ballykeel as they headed back down the main street to the finish point; the Keel playing to their usual high standard from the Ballymena outfit.
Another band I seen where the Sandy Row Ulster First Flute whom where out in small numbers but pay big in hearts.
I expected a lot more from this parade; but on the night for me it was the poor turnout of bands and crowds added up to be a pretty average night.
Holiday time or 12th fortnight is a bad time for parade as many people go on their holidays after the 12th for a well deserved break; Derryloran also played well at the end of the parade; a great band from the heart of Cookstown.
We paraded with 9 side drummers, 23 flute corps, 2 bass drummers, colour party of 3, 1 drum major and a marshal. Below are a selection of photographs of the band in action.
We didnít really get into the short route tonight but we played out usual routine and the crowds that where watching where not disappointed on the short route.
Good luck to Derryloran Boyne Defenders in the anniversary year.
