The band travelled to support the host band on a very warm and sticky night in Bessbrook in County Armagh.
As in years gone by we were one of the last bands to arrive so I canít comment on too many bands as I didnít get to see that many as the start and end points of the parade are far apart.
However I did catch the sight of the Finaghy True Blues, it was strange seeing them parade without their uniform but this didnít stop them from playing well as we headed past them at the start of the parade.
I also heard the Portadown Defender at the cut off, flutes where sounding well; Lambeg Orange & Blue playing well with 3 & 10 and the bass drum was very loud and they certainly did not fail to impress the watching spectators.
Great to see the Brook getting a good turnout of 38 bands in South Armagh 2 weeks after the 12th is a great turnout for any band.
Our own band walked with 14 side drummers, 22 flute corps smaller band by our standards but in my opinion we played extremely well and once again our 2 bass drummers played to a very high standard.
We added again tonight out our ever growing tally of prizes but tonight I thought we earned what the judgeís awarded us. Well done to Bessbrook True Blues for a well run parade.
