Denver Smith Memorial Parade - 28/03/09

The bands colour party travelled to Antrim to take part in the Memorial Parade. Around 15 bands and mixed colour partys attended on a sunny Saturday afternoon. A good turnout at this, one of the first outdoor parades of the year. It was good for our boys to walk with a local band to us, the UVF Regimental band whom led the parade.

Some of the bands whom attended where South Belfast Young Conquerors, Lower Ards Volunteers and Craigavon Protestant Boys, who where going well as they passed me. Freeman Memorial and the Ulster Protestant Boys brought up a good turnout from the Coleraine area.

Other bands in attendence were - West Belfgast Volunteers, Ballysillan Volunteers, Shankill Star, Goldsprings TD, Sons of the Somme Carrickfergus, MFH Crawford Memorial Ballymena and Monkstown YCV which all added up to a decent turnout for this time of year.

Lest we forget
