Finaghy True Blues - 20/06/09

Its been a number of years since we have been able to support the Finaghy band. The parade started at the centre and finished at the Taughmonagh Social club after a good route around the estate.

Great day to parade in and a good number of people out to encourage the bands. 28 bands turned out. Drumaheagles up today who are a great band to listen to. Upper Falls Protestant Boys and Ballycraigy Sons of Ulster in front of us, both playing to a high standard. 2 East Belfast bands, the Pride of the Raven and Tullycarnnet both playing well also. Great wee crowd at the finish in the car park.

Here is clips of the band in action:

Our own band paraded with 7 of a colour party, 11 drummers, 2 bass drummers, 22 flautists and marshalls. In my humble opinion we played very well, we had a young band on parade and i thought we would keep a good pace and tempo all day. Well done to the lads.

Good to be back in the Finaghy Estate after a long absence!
