Brian Robinson Memorial Parade - 04/09/10

This year the parade got alot of bad press which as usual was prooved wrong.

As usual the parade attracted a large turnout of around 52 bands, not even the rain can stop this parade being this big. Four bands from Liverpool and at least 15 bands from Scotland all made the trip over to boost the numbers. Some bands in attendance were the Pink Ladies, Greengairs Thistle, Cambuslang Volunteers, Shankill Protestant Boys, Shankill Star, South Belfast Young Conquerors, Fifes and Drums, Lower Woodstock, Freeman memorial and the Newtownards Volunteer flute. To many to mention but all of corse deserve to be.

The route itself snakes around the back streets of the Shankill making its way behind the old courthouse on the Crumlin road. Most of the crowds as usual on the main Shankill road stretching right up to the Rangers club and finishing at the Liverpool club were the wreaths are laid.

Below is a selection of photographs of the band in action.

Our own band paraded with 19 of a colour party, 1 drum major, 17 drummers, 3 bass drummers, 28 flautusts and marshalls. We had the Camlachie Loyal Star FBs colour party walking with our own which looked superb, well done lads it was a pleasure to have you.

Lest we forget!
